
Global Learning Foundation Talented Student Scholarship for Global Model United Nations Conferences Worldwide

1. Eligibility Criteria

A Learner is an individual between ages 12 and 18 who is actively enrolled in an accredited secondary education institution in their country of residence.

The scholarship is open to all participating learners in Global Model United Nations conferences starting January 1, 2025.

No regional or nationality restrictions apply.
Selection Criteria

The scholarship is awarded to the Best Delegate in each committee at any Global Model United Nations conference worldwide.

The Best Delegate Award is granted solely by Global Youth Congress academic staff, based on direct judging criteria and observation periods during the conference.

The appointed judges' decision is absolute and irrevocable.
2. Scholarship Coverage

The scholarship applies only to program tuition for Global Youth Congress live programs designed for learners.

It does not cover:

Taxes, airfare, and flights
-
Visa fees, daily stipends, or any other additional expenses

Any program add-ons or required costs outside of tuition

Scholarship Award Amounts
-
$300 for Best Delegate winners in online conferences produced by the Global Youth Congress.

$1,000 for Best Delegate winners in live conferences produced by the Global Youth Congress.

The scholarship can only be used in Global Youth Congress live programs.
Payment & Application of Scholarship

Registration dues must be paid upfront.

The scholarship applies immediately upon registration toward financed payments or the remaining tuition price (excluding registration fees).
3. Application & Usage Requirements

Award Frequency: The scholarship is granted to each Best Delegate in each committee at every conference.

Application Deadline: The scholarship must be used within the year it was earned.

Example: If awarded in 2025, the recipient must register for a program before the end of 2025.

The program itself can take place in 2026, as long as registration occurs within the awarding year.

Expiration: If the recipient does not register within the required period, the scholarship expires.
4. Recipient Responsibilities & Conditions

Scholarship recipients must:

Attend at least 60% of pre-conference events
-
Attend at least 80% of conference events
-
Submit a position paper on time
-
Participate in an interview and allow the Global Youth Congress and Global Learning Foundation to publicly display and use media recorded and generated from their participation. This includes testimonials, interviews, and all forms of media available at the time of display, without time restrictions.

Multiple Scholarships
-
Recipients may reapply for future scholarships.

However, only one scholarship can be used per program at any given time (scholarships cannot be combined).
5. Funding & Sustainability

The Global Learning Foundation funds this scholarship program in partnership with the Global Youth Congress.
